Elysia Belilove is a New York City based set, production, and spatial designer working across film, fashion, music, advertising, and interiors. Her artistic sensibilities were shaped early on through experiments building miniature worlds from found objects and time spent in her family’s stone fabrication factory in Iowa. Surrounded by raw materials and an industrial environment, she developed an intuitive sense of material, scale and how ideas move from idea into physical form.
In 2015 she completed her BFA in Interior Design at Parsons The New School for Design and began her career designing luxury hospitality interiors before turning to the world of set design, drawn to the collaborative and hands on approach of the field.
Elysia’s work spans scales and disciplines, moving easily from detailed still life sets and custom props to large-scale builds, and production design for film. Early influences continue to remain evident in her work, reflected in an often austere, deconstructed use of materiality, immersive world-building, and instinctive balance of bold form with subtle detail.
Select clients include Marc Jacobs, HighSnobiety, Equinox, SSENSE, Matte Projects, Dazed Studios, Nowness, and Vogue. Her production design has been presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and Meredith Rosen Gallery, with film credits including Adaptation (2022), Appliance (2024), Don’t Stop Moving (2025), and Enigma of a Dream (2021).
